Loving Beyond Retro

Recently I've been desperate to have a job, I've literally applied for six jobs, today! Yesterday I applied for a job at Beyond Retro, one of my favourite shops. They mainly sell vintage clothes from a variety of different decades and have stores in Brick lane, Brighton, Dalston and Soho.
This dress is so chic and sexy. I'd probably  wear all black accessories with it and then red lips to create an ultra glamourous look.

Denim shorts are summer essential and these ones are just adorable.

The print on this blouse is amazing. I love it!

I'm in love with skirt. I'm going to Brick Lane on Sunday so if I see I will definitely buy it. It's kind of school girlish but really fashionable at the same time.

I love dungarees but so far I haven't been able to find a pair that I really like. Either colour is wrong or the length but these ones are perfect.

Beyond Retro is my vintage store, I'm never bored by what I see there. Where do you guys like to do your vintage shopping?

Weekly Wishlist

Weekly Wishlist
Here are all the things that I really want this week. The cream tunic from h&m is quite plain but I've been looking for som cute back to basic items and this is perfect. Even though it's summer, I'm already thinking about my winter wardrobe. I love this blue bomber from Dorothy Perkins, it looks quite versatile and the print is really beautiful. Recently I've been buying so many pairs of shorts that my mum has told me to stop :s Even though I've been told by my mother not to buy another pair of shirts, I just love these ones from Forever 21 :p

Lady Gaga Goes Nude

I can not get over how beautiful Lady Gaga looks in her shoot with V magazine; I've never seen her look so amazing. Although only one picture has been released so far I, like many others, cannot wait to see more. It's quite nice seeing her stripped bad- however much I love seeing her crazy outfits is repos refreshing seeing her look so natural and I'm glad to see that she has recovered from her recent hip surgery due to an accident whilst on tour. What do you guys think of Lady Gaga baring all for V magazine.

Battersea Car Boot Sale

On Sunday I went to Battersea car boot sale. Established in 1999, it is one of the most famous boot sales in London and unlike many you can find an amazing range of vintage, designer and high street items. You literally buy anything there, from old marvel comics to a Ralph Lauren coat to a weave! One of the most important things to remember at a car boot sale is to not be afraid to haggle. At first I was nervous about it; thinking that it may come across rude to ask for a lower price but I got everything for at least a £1 less than the seller had originally asked for :D
I went with my aunt and we both agreed it would definitely be worth going again. Overall I spent £27 and bought some new purchases.
Probably won't wear this coat for a while but it's beautiful and was only  £10
I don't know if it's meant to be reversible but it looks so fashionable this way!
This bag is gorgeous- got it for £5 down from £6 and it's fairly big so I can use it for school.
I love this cute satchel, it was only £3. The print is so nice- it has llamas on it :D
This top is quite big and my mum was like what are you going to wear it with? Then I showed her 3 ways you could wear it and she was shocked so I might do a post about that later. This was £2
I have no idea what I'd wear this with but it was £1 and the detail on it is gorgeous so I'll find something.
I've been looking for some flatforms for a while and these ones are perfect. They're plain black so will go with loads of outfits which is exactly what I need. Got them for £4
I love classic books and there were loads for £1 each. I bought 'Of Good and Evil' by Ernest Gann and 'The Venetian Affair' by Helen MacInnes

So whether you can get down to Battersea or not I'd definitely recommend going to a boot sale. As you can see I found loads of amazing things for super cheap prices and good quality as well :)

Outfit of the Day- Brit School Induction

Yesterday I had my induction day at the Brit School- no I'm not going to be the next Adele or Amy Winehouse. I'm going to be studying visual arts and design! I'm quite a shy person so I literally sat by myself until someone spoke to me.
We did this wierd speed dating kind of thing to get us to talk to each other and we all got a post card to draw something about the people we were talking to. It feels really wierd that I'm going to a new school and that I'll have to submerge myself into a completely different group of people...
Showing off my artistic talents ;)

I really like it at the Brit School; everyone is so unique and different and it's just a really creative environment.
Even though it's Summer the work has begun and we've already been set our first project. I usually hate summer homework but this project actually seems like it could be fun. Our task is to fill an A5 sketch on all things vintage but we're not allowed to use computers or the Internet :'(
I've been looking for some vintage markets around London so I can't wait to go to them and I'll tell you how my project progresses.

Style icon: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has come a long way from her innocent Hannah Montana persona. In the last few months we've seen her own the pixie cut, get engaged to Liam Hemsworth and most recently we've seen her prove that white girls can tweak (kind of...)
I personally love the new non-Disney Miley and it's been great seeing her grow up and really become her own person. She really shows who she is through her clothing choices and I think she's an amazi style inspiration. Here are my favourite of her looks.

Loving ZeroUv Sunglasses

So a while ago I did a post about my favourite ZeroUV sunglasses and to my surprise they sent me two free pairs! They were the first free items that I've ever got from a shop; it was so exciting open the box and trying them on :D
These are the two that I received:-

It's so weird seeing them in real life, I love them. The sunglasses are 100% UV protective, super trendy and so unique. I have my induction day at the Brit School on thursday so if it's sunny I'll definitely wear one of them. A massive thanks to ZeroUV and check out their website here.

Birthday shopping!

So it was my 16th birthday on Tuesday-I'm legal ;)- and I  received just over £300 from birthday money! Today I went on the first of many shopping trips. At the end of August I'm starting at a new college and since there'll be no uniform which means I have to majorly expand my wardrobe. I'm trying to do some clever/cheap shopping by buying only sale items and clothes from charity shops. Here's what I bought today:
I bought the burgundy shorts from a charity shop for 3.50!
I really love this dress, it's quite long but fairly thin so it's cool to wear during summer. Also it's quite easy to up dress up or down depending on the accessories and I got it for only £3.

These shorts are probably my favourite buy of the day, I got them from Primark for £4 (bargain!). They're so pretty and I literally cannot wait to wear them out :D

So in total I bought 3 things and only spent £10.50 which is crazy amazing, I'm so happy- thrift shopping is the best.

Rihanna for River Island: Part Two!

I think most teenage girls go through that stage where they just want to experiment and go a bit crazy with their style choices and for me, Rihanna has been a big inspiration. Her collection at River Island is just  perfect and I want more! Luckily for us Rihanna has once again collaborated with designer Adam Selman us more fabulous clothes. Apparently this collection is going to be even more fun and even more Rihanna. We don't have to wait too long- the range will be in stores from September 12th and I can tell you that I'll be first in line to get my hands on it. Here are some of my favourite pieces from the first Rihanna for River Island.
