OOTD: The Vintage Jumper

Around 4ish, I was at the train station, sitting next a lady and she suddenly turned round towards me and said 'I love your jumper, where is it from?' I instantly started to laugh because I bought it for about 80p at East End Thrift store, the BEST vintage sale ever! If any of you are ever in London you absolutely must try to go to their fill a bag sale where you can stuff as many clothes into a bag as possible for £10 or £20 depending on size.

The lady said she loved my whole outfit which made me so happy that I couldn't stop smiling for my whole train journey.

I bought my skirt from New Look but it was in the sale quite a while ago so probably isn't available anymore. I love this skirt and have been wearing it so often recently because it's so versatile. My beloved Birkenstocks are from Topshop and are only £25! They're super comfy and come in black and white so pretty much go with any outfit.

How to Dress Well on a Small Budget

1. Have lots of basic clothing pieces which are easy to mix and match with almost anything and are suitable for all seasons e.g neutral (black, white, grey) coloured tshirts, lots of jeans and trainers. To make this plain clothes a little more interesting pair them with bold prints and statement pieces of clothing.

2. Charity shops are the best place to find cheap clothes and if you look hard enough you will always find some amazing buys. Although I've never found anything designer (cry) my friend bought a Calvin Klein coat for £20! Vintage shops are also amazing but can often be expensive; if you live in London Google East End Thrift Store. There you can buy clothes for £1 each or fill a bag for £10 or £20 depending on the size. Although the clothes do smell a bit after a few washes they're good as new ;p

3. If you're not into wearing previously owned clothes, then another way to save money to know when the sales are on. Online shops such as Asos will nearly always have sale section where you can buy your favourite brand's clothes for less. If you happen to live in a city there are nearly always sample sales going on. To find them I usually search them on twitter or Instagram.

4. Diy is the most fun way to give your old clothes a makeover. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube or diy blogs such as P.S I Made It. Customizing your own clothes is a brilliant way to turn something you hate into your new favourite piece of clothing.

5. I've never actually won a giveaway competition but I always enter because I might get lucky one day. Loads of blogs host giveaways on a regular basis but so do lots of clothing brands so follow your favourite shops on their social media sites to keep up to date with any competitions they may hold.

6. One of the easiest ways to make a fairly dull outfit more interesting is to accessorize. When buying jewellery I like to invest in lots of statement necklaces, earrings and rings as it is a simple way to boost an outfit.

Hopefully this helped some of you :)

Here's an outfit that I wore a few days ago and it is probably the cheapest outfit that I have ever worn. I love this new skirt dungaree that I got for free a few weeks ago at Beyond Retro. Underneath I wore a burgundy Abercrombie top which I bought at the £1 sale. I paired it with a navy pair of men's socks, they're way to big but I love them so much, and my black jelly shoes.

Free clothes + cheap food = best day ever!

HToday has been the best day I've had in a long time..
Beyond retro, one if my favourite vintage shops, decided for some unknown reason to give away free clothes.  Yes you read write, FREE. I bought two patterned rucksacks, a gorgeous black velvet midi dress, the most adorable denim and tartan dungarees, a short sleeved shirt and turquoise jumper. All for free. I just had to say it again because I steal can't believe that I got all of this stuff for free.

Afterwards my friends and I went to a bagel shop on brick lane which was so cheap it was confusing. I bought an almond croissant and a bagel for £1.05. Like how is that even real? Doughnuts were 30p, carrot cake was 70p filled bagels for £1.50.
Then I went to my grandparents house were they literally stuffed me with chocolate and biscuits and then gave me £100! I think I've officially won at life

I love living in London...

Loving Beyond Retro

Recently I've been desperate to have a job, I've literally applied for six jobs, today! Yesterday I applied for a job at Beyond Retro, one of my favourite shops. They mainly sell vintage clothes from a variety of different decades and have stores in Brick lane, Brighton, Dalston and Soho.
This dress is so chic and sexy. I'd probably  wear all black accessories with it and then red lips to create an ultra glamourous look.

Denim shorts are summer essential and these ones are just adorable.

The print on this blouse is amazing. I love it!

I'm in love with skirt. I'm going to Brick Lane on Sunday so if I see I will definitely buy it. It's kind of school girlish but really fashionable at the same time.

I love dungarees but so far I haven't been able to find a pair that I really like. Either colour is wrong or the length but these ones are perfect.

Beyond Retro is my vintage store, I'm never bored by what I see there. Where do you guys like to do your vintage shopping?
