I really, really, really want a new pair of trainers and Stan smiths are on my mind at the moment. I'm thinking to get black and white just because they'll go with pretty my everything that I wear. I'm also really into trousers at the moment, usually I'm a skirt girl but I love pants especially the checkered ones from Zara. Finally, how killer are these black Dr Martens boots! I feel like I must have them now <3

The Duster Coat

Slowly but surely I've been building up my collection of coats and jackets. First was the car boot sale bomber jacket, then my amazing £10 fur coat and finally I have my duster coat. At an amazing £12 from a local charity this has definitely got to be one of my best wardrobe purchases.

Even though it was way too hot to wear it, I was determined show off my new coat. Keeping to a monochromatic theme, wearing a Breton striped top, black shorts (both from New Look) and Just fab trainers.

What do you think of duster coats?

Le 21ème- Streetstyle

I ILe 21ème is one of my favourite websites to see street style from around the world and to get some awesome outfit inspiration. Showcasing images from cities such as London, Paris and New York, Le 21ème describes itself as a photojournalistic view into the world of fashion rather than simply a street style. Here are some of my photos that heave recently uploaded.

Summer Inspiration: Colour

Red means danger.
Black is slimming.
Men shouldn't wear pink.
These are all generalisations about colours and are definitely not true. Colour is key to what we wear and why we wear it; in summer, I like to wet bright, bold, 'happy' colour. So for now it's out with blacks and greys and hello to fuchsia, aqua and lilac. This months inspiration is all about colour!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAOMI!

Naomi Campbell, one of the most recognized and successful supermodels in the world, celebrates her birthday today and with Kate Moss as one of her best friends, you just know she's going to have an AMAZING birthday party. Since I haven't been blessed with an invitation, I'm celebrating by looking back at some of my favourite photographs of her.

Lots of love,

Solange Knowles: Style Icon

I'm almost certain that you've heard about Solange Knowles' little... disagreement with Jay-z but instead of focusing on her slightly crazy outburst, I've decided to show you how amazing and daring her outfits are.

Yellow is a colour that solange wears often and I can definitely see why since it looks gorgeous on her skin! I love that she wore this Christopher Kane ensemble exactly how it was shown in the look book and her bold choice to pair it with shiny silver pumps.

THIS is how you wear all white. Sheer or mesh fabrics break up the white creating texture and adds depth to the outfit.

You can also accessorize with bold colours.

Or wear clashing prints to create contrast

Solange's hair looks perfect here. It's not exactly an every day style but imagine running your hands through it!

Some people love how she dresses, some hate it, but I think it's brilliant how risky some of her outfits are. Sometimes I look at her and just wonder, 'What one earth are you wearing?' It doesn't really matter though, she will always be braver than a lot of use for her ability to wear such clashing prints, bright colours and to managing to follow trends but making them completely her own at the same time.
I just hope Jay-Z is brave enought to face her again and they can sort out whatever the hell happened in the elevator!
Lots of love,
Tiana x

The Spice Girls: My guilty pleasure

Scary, Baby, Posh, Ginger and Sporty. They will forever be the definition of ultimate girl power.
I remember dancing around my room when I was about five to 'Wannabe' wishing I could be Posh spice. Although I do love them all for their individuality, I definitely wanted to be her. She was so sassy! Even though most of the clothes that they wore were quite horrendous, they wore them in the most fashionable way possible. I will forever bow down to them for popularizing platform shoes.
Sporty (pronounced CHAV) spice represented that bad girl street style and although I don't recommend wearing a complete adidas ensemble, you can easily achieve her vibe with a pair of cool trainers, some joggers or a hoodie.
This is probably the most iconic moment in pop history. When Ginger Spice wore perhaps the shortest dress ever made while performing at the 1998 Brit Awards the whole world's jaws dropped. The catch, her sister made it from a tea towel they'd bought in a charity shop! Arguably the bravest of all the spice girls, Geri Halliwell didn't know the meaning of too much cleavage or too short a hemline.
Baby Spice was the sweetie pie of the group. She nearly always wore a cutesy babydoll dress in a girly pastel colour. Her style was like a naughty but really sexy little girl. And you could never have a Emma Bunton styled outfit without putting your hair in her signature pigtails, she did this look way before Britney BTW.
Leopard print, metallic, crazy and massive platforms. If you keep those four things in your style vocabulary you are sure to have an awesome Scary spice outfit. The best thing about Scary, was she literally did not give a fuck. She always wore the wildest outfit and definitely had the attitude to pull them off.
My personal favourite of the spice girls, Posh Spice. The basic of a Victoria Beckham look, is a tight black dress and platform heels. But there is so much more to it than that. You need sass and attitude, a killer pose and you absolutely must practise the perfect pouting face if you ever want to come close to achieving a Posh Spice look.

I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna...  go back to the 90s...

Who's your favourite spice girl?
Lot's of love,
Tiana x
