The Duster Coat

Slowly but surely I've been building up my collection of coats and jackets. First was the car boot sale bomber jacket, then my amazing £10 fur coat and finally I have my duster coat. At an amazing £12 from a local charity this has definitely got to be one of my best wardrobe purchases.

Even though it was way too hot to wear it, I was determined show off my new coat. Keeping to a monochromatic theme, wearing a Breton striped top, black shorts (both from New Look) and Just fab trainers.

What do you think of duster coats?

The Jean Paul Gaultier Exhibition

On Thursday I went to the Gaultier exhibition at the Barbican. Although me and my friend spent ages walking around London trying to using google maps to find our way there,we finally found the Barbican and it was definitely work the sore feet. The exhibition closes on August 25th (next week!) so of you're able to make it it's only £14.50 for a standard ticket and £9 for students.
I took loads of photos around London and at the exhibition so here are a few of them.

My wonderful new trainers are from Just Fab, an online shoe shop which you must all absolutely check out because at the moment you can buy your first pair of shoes for 75% off. All of their shoes cost £35 and with the 75% off that makes all of their shoes and amazing £9!!! These trainers I bought literally feel like clouds... With it a wore a white jersey dress that a made recently which gives the outfit a sporty chic kind of look.

OOTD: The Vintage Jumper

Around 4ish, I was at the train station, sitting next a lady and she suddenly turned round towards me and said 'I love your jumper, where is it from?' I instantly started to laugh because I bought it for about 80p at East End Thrift store, the BEST vintage sale ever! If any of you are ever in London you absolutely must try to go to their fill a bag sale where you can stuff as many clothes into a bag as possible for £10 or £20 depending on size.

The lady said she loved my whole outfit which made me so happy that I couldn't stop smiling for my whole train journey.

I bought my skirt from New Look but it was in the sale quite a while ago so probably isn't available anymore. I love this skirt and have been wearing it so often recently because it's so versatile. My beloved Birkenstocks are from Topshop and are only £25! They're super comfy and come in black and white so pretty much go with any outfit.

Sorry for the shit mirror picture ahaha
My friends and I basically just ordered a load of pizza, played some games and just chilled for a couple hours. I had an awesome day and thank you loads to everyone who was a part of it :)

Central Saint Martins Degree Show

Every time I visit CSM I become more and more desparate for it to be my university. The show included Fashion, Textiles, Animation, Graphic Design and loads more.
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take pictures of all the clothes but here are some of my favourites that I could take a photo of.

Also my wonderful friend bought me a pair of Topshop Birkenstocks as an early birthday present. YAY! He gave them to me on Wednesday and I have literally worn them every day. They're so comfy and easy to wear with basically anything. Here's what I wore.

Central Saint Martins Foundation Show

Yesterday I went to the Central Saint Martins Foundation show and I was absolutely amazed by the creative, original, high quality work that I saw.

This piece was a part of a triptych all drawn with charcoal. From experience I know how difficult charcoal can be to use and the amount of detail and accuracy in this piece is absolutely incredible.

This drawing was absolutely humongous. I can't even begin to imagine how long it must have taken to do.

These hanging horses made out of chicken wire I think, were definitely one of my favourite pieces I saw that day.

No picture could do the detail in this piece justice. The effort and time it must have taken to complete, just wow.

This guy has definitely perfected his pout!

I don't know what it is but there's something about this photo that is really intriguing.

There was also a section for the fashion students but unfortunately you're not allowed to take pictures in there. The clothes were so unique and different, I felt so inspired and visiting only made me want to study at Central Saint Martins even more.
Here is my outfit from yesterday. I am wearing my new top from Adolescent clothing, which I love btw, my skirt is from Primark and my bag is from River Island

OOTD: Tartan Dungarees

Here's an outfit that I wore a few days ago and it is probably the cheapest outfit that I have ever worn. I love this new skirt dungaree that I got for free a few weeks ago at Beyond Retro. Underneath I wore a burgundy Abercrombie top which I bought at the £1 sale. I paired it with a navy pair of men's socks, they're way to big but I love them so much, and my black jelly shoes.

Checked blue blazer

Tiana - ISO 400 Natural Light
On Saturday I went to an AMAZING £1 sale at a vintage store, well actually it was in a car park opposite the shop which meant a lot of the clothes were on the dusty gravel which was pretty nasty, but oh well I got some pretty awesome clothes. One thing that a bought was this beautiful oversized blue blazer that I wore today. I've never actually owned a blazer, apart from awful grey school ones so I'm quite excited to finally have one!
Blue skirt
I also bought this baby blue skirt and love the colour but it's quite big on me so I'm going to cut it short and take in the waist.
Abercrombie

Blue
Another DIY project for me!
Caramel
This jumper is one of the most comfortable things I've ever worn, and it love the colour.
Fur
Finally the most beautiful thing that I bought today, my fur coat- and it's faux! I absolutely adore it! But of course the English weather is not on my side as it has now decided to be sunny. I know everyone living in England will hate me for saying this but I really want it to be cold again so I can wear it :p

Lots of love,
