"So I started hanging out with Rayanne Graff. Just for fun. Just ’causeit seemed like if I didn’t I would die ... or something

My So Called Life quite possibly had been one of the greatest teenage tv shows if only it hadn't been prematurely cancelled after just one season. Although it didn't last long, the few episodes that were made were so full of drama I could watch it over and over and still be just as glued to the screen as the first times watched it.

Most people who watch the show cling to Angela Chase, the main character. A saint in most ways who's looking for some excitement in her 15 year old life. Like others, I connected with Angela and pretty much understood everything she went through (from boy trouble to friendship changes to parents just suddenly getting on your nerves no matter what either of you do). But for me, Rayanne Graff is the name that will probably still influence the person I am 20 years from now.

Rayanne is the not so social drinker who is given the title 'most slut potential' by her classmates, and proud of it! Even though Rayanne was a little but 'troubled' she really was a great person. Fearless, loyal and outgoing. All of these are words that describe not only her fiery personality but also her outrageous fashion choices.

A mishmash of piled on layers of checked shirts, teeny bralets and tonnessss of accessories. Although Rayanne never directly spoke a out fashion, she clearly cared about how she looked. Details of her hair and accessories were constantly changing through out a single day and she pulled off such a free spirited semi-ugly look that is only possible when you're still young and care-free.

Style Tips From Rayanne

Hats are always a good idea
Especially if they're covered in gold beads and sequins ;p

Tie Dye t-shirts will never go out of fashion

Opaque tights in every colour are a must

Colour hair clippings and elastic bands spice up any hair style
Candy is the ultimate accessory
Why not take flannel shirts to the next level but wearing one which is knee length
This photo pretty much sums up Rayanne, mismatched prints, oversized clothes and a crazy hat

Although her style isn't always tasteful, I admire Rayanne's brave outfit choices and outrageous personality.

Lots of love,

Susie Bubble: We’re past the point of coming up with new silhouettes – so it’s about finer details, innovation in textiles, rejuvenating old techniques.’

Susanna Lau is one of my favourite British fashion bloggers, known around the world for her unique style of voice and dress sense that she shares with hundreds of thousands of people a month on her blog Style Bubble.

Yesterday, a friend and I went talk a talk she was doing in collaboration with the Dazed group and the McQ shop on Dover street. As two 17 year old girls wearing trainers and hoodies, we felt quite out of place in this world of high fashion, champagne and pointy heels.  I'm not quite part of that world (not yet anyways) but find I it so interested observing the people; how they dress so perfectly and move so elegantly. They're fun, exciting and daring!

Although I almost passed out during the talk from the heat and having to stand, I thoroughly enjoyed what Susie Bubble had to say. She talked about her views on the changing fashion industry, how the 4 main capitals aren't necessarily the only places where new exciting fashion is being created. Now there are new players in the fashion game such as Nikita and Tina Sutradhar, two sisters from Dubai who virtually came from nowhere and won a special mention at the LVMH prize.

She went on to give us an inside scoop about the book that she's in the process of writing. Bubble has been travelling all over the world from Sydney to Antwerp, interviewing young designers, manufacturers and other creative talents that she admires.

The night ended with free drinks, a brilliant DJ set by Mischa Mafia and a free copy of Dazed magazine, what more could I ask for?

Where I See Fashion

For the longest time I've been seeing pictures on tumblr of exquisite fashions paired with an almost exact match in a photo. These photos include architecture, nature, landscapes and paintings and now I have finally found where they're all coming from- a blog called Where I See fashion.

Started in the Summer of 2013 by Bianca Luini, the blog has since received over 300,00 views and inspired countless people around the world.

Many designers look only to other fashion to inspire their clothes but this blog proves that anything can be inspiring from art to photography to colour to a flower.

So if you're ever stuck for inspiration, even if you don't have an interest in fashion, Where I See fashion is a brilliant source of visual imagery whatever you need inspiring for.
