How to Dress Well on a Small Budget

1. Have lots of basic clothing pieces which are easy to mix and match with almost anything and are suitable for all seasons e.g neutral (black, white, grey) coloured tshirts, lots of jeans and trainers. To make this plain clothes a little more interesting pair them with bold prints and statement pieces of clothing.

2. Charity shops are the best place to find cheap clothes and if you look hard enough you will always find some amazing buys. Although I've never found anything designer (cry) my friend bought a Calvin Klein coat for £20! Vintage shops are also amazing but can often be expensive; if you live in London Google East End Thrift Store. There you can buy clothes for £1 each or fill a bag for £10 or £20 depending on the size. Although the clothes do smell a bit after a few washes they're good as new ;p

3. If you're not into wearing previously owned clothes, then another way to save money to know when the sales are on. Online shops such as Asos will nearly always have sale section where you can buy your favourite brand's clothes for less. If you happen to live in a city there are nearly always sample sales going on. To find them I usually search them on twitter or Instagram.

4. Diy is the most fun way to give your old clothes a makeover. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube or diy blogs such as P.S I Made It. Customizing your own clothes is a brilliant way to turn something you hate into your new favourite piece of clothing.

5. I've never actually won a giveaway competition but I always enter because I might get lucky one day. Loads of blogs host giveaways on a regular basis but so do lots of clothing brands so follow your favourite shops on their social media sites to keep up to date with any competitions they may hold.

6. One of the easiest ways to make a fairly dull outfit more interesting is to accessorize. When buying jewellery I like to invest in lots of statement necklaces, earrings and rings as it is a simple way to boost an outfit.

Hopefully this helped some of you :)

How To: Sporty Luxe

Sporty Luxe

This week I've seen a ton of blog posts about the tropical print trend that is flooding through the high street so I decided to focus on a different one which is a personal favourite of mine- Sporty Luxe. This trend was perfected in the Balenciaga SS14 show and ever since I've been trying to do the same. These leather shorts from Topshop would look great during the day with a pair of New Balance trainers. Mesh is an easy way to do a sport look and I think this pink crop top would look great with an A-line skirt and those adorable flatform jelly shoes from New Look. Listen up- jogging bottoms are no longer just for lounging around at home. Asos have a great selection of stylish joggers. To avoid look like your going to the gym, throw on a pair of heeled sandals for an effortless night time ensemble.

My Spring Obsession: Culottes

I cannot even express to you how desparate I am for a pair of culottes. I saw them I a. Vogue editorial and I can't stop thinki about them. I hate wearing tight trousers during summer and I'm not treally a fan of billowing trousers on me so these are like the perfect solution! They look like they're so easy to dressy up or down, with heels or flats. I can just imagine me wearing them with a pair of jelly sandals and a cute crop top. Soon I will find the perfect pair and I'll be wearing them all spring and summer.
What do you think of culotte trousers?

Could you own Pharrell's hat?

I'm sure you all know of Pharrell Williams' infamous Vivienne Westwood hat and now you could own it! If you have about £15,000 that is... Pharrell is selling his hat on eBay and giving all of the proceeds to the charity From One Hand to Another. The bidding started off at $200 and has already reached $14,500 so with another 6 days to go I can't even imagine how much someone is going to end up buying this hat for! But to be honest, if I hadn't he money I would definitely buy it; every time I see him wearing it I wish I had one. So I've compiled a list of not quite so awesome hats but still pretty fantastic ones that you can buy for a much more reasonable price.

Elephant Snap Back Asos £15

Logo Hat House of Holland £10 (on sale)
I know that it is completely indulgent buying something just for the brand but this is probably the only thing that I could afford from House of Holland so I need to buy it ASAP.
Earphone Beanie Topshop £18
This invention will probably go down in history. It keeps your head warm AND you can listen to your music through it.

Daisy Beanie New Look £3.50

Think Pink!

If didn't already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a time for people to learn more about breast cancer and to raise money supporting the charity. My school had a wear it pink day where people were asked to wear pink clothes to school; some people even took it one step further and dyed their hair pink!
Even though it's coming to the end of October now (omfg we only have two months left of this year), pink is a major trend this winter. Even if you're not a girly girl, I definitely think wearing pink is a brilliant way to add some fresh colours into what can be a very dull, dark winter wardrobe.
I'm in love with this pink asos coat, it reminds me of the oversized Jil Sander coat. I also really want the pink plaid mini skirt- I've already made up outfits in my head  and oh my the options are infinite.

Even though it's summer, I'm already thinking about my winter wardrobe. I love this blue bomber from Dorothy Perkins, it looks quite versatile and the print is really beautiful. Recently I've been buying so many pairs of shorts that my mum has told me to stop :s Even though I've been told by my mother not to buy another pair of shirts, I just love these ones from Forever 21 :p

Molly Goddard Brings Barbie to Fashion

Molly Goddard graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2012 and since then has interned  with the one and only John Galliano and now has released a four piece collection with Asos.
Her graduates show consisted of neon tulles and ethereal ballgowns. Goodman has the talent of creating fascinating garments which truly make pink look chic.

Her recent collection for Asos was inspired by Barbie and the Spice Girls- two of every girl's favourite things. Molly really is living the dream and I cannot wait for what she does next.
