Queen of Tartan and Brit School Student

I started at the Brit school on Thursday and so far it has been super amazing. I've met loads of new people and hopefully I'll meet more (and I love putting on my own clothes every day!). I didn't take a picture of what I wore the first day; I was in such a rush in the morning but here's a picture of what I wore today.
I got this shirt from my mum but I wore it as a dress as its quite long and then I paired it with my lilac jellies. Oh and I got my student ID badge today- that means student discounts!
Today we had to create hats made out of paper to represent what is going on in our minds. Everyone said that my hat was really cool so I thought I'd show you guys a picture.

Over the bank holiday weekend I went to Nottingham to visit my family there and for my cousin's christening. And omg Nottingham is so cheap. There's loads of charity shop and there's an outlet store which sell clothes cheaper than a charity shop would- I need to find one in London.
I got these from the outlet store and I'm in love with these wedges but I have to share them with my mum. I bought the shoes for £5 and the top for £2 (yes you read right).
I'm kinda in love with tartan so when I kind these in a charity shop I had to buy them. The cardigan was £2 I thinkable and the skirt was £4 ( it comes just below the knee and even though my mum hates it I loveee it). I think I'm gonna try to wear them together, it might be a bit too much tartan but I just have to try it.

I usually try to post something every day but now that I'm starting school that just won't be possible 😭 So I've made a schedule and will try my best to keep to it. From now on I'll be posting every Friday, Thursday and Tuesday.
Lots of love, Tiana

Ootd: Let's Kick Some Ass

Gosh it feels like so long since I've blogged; I've just been so busy getting ready for school, doing homework and I went to Nottingham over the weekend to visit family. I've got a massive post lined up for either later on today about my time in Nottingham (everything is so cheap in Nottingham so I bought some amazing clothes :D)
Today I finally went to watch Kick Ass 2 with my mum and it was amazing, especially Chloe Moretz (god she's beautiful). Usually with sequels it just feels lie they were had no story line but the producers wanted to squeeze out every bit of money they could from one idea. Kick Ass 2 was not like that and hopefully from the ending there will be a third one which I'm already excited about :D

I bought this cardigan from a charity shop for £2, the skirt is from new look, the shirt is an old school shirt and my shoes are originally from Office but I bought them for £5 at a car boot sell.

For my brit school homework I did some research about Twiggy and I just fell in love with her makeup. Then I was reading the September issue of Vogue and they were talking about how to experiment with eyeliner and I just knew I had to try it out. So here's my Twiggy inspired makeup. I didn't do a tutorial this time since I wasn't sure about how it'd come out but next time I'll definitely do one :)

Results Day: OOTD

Today I got my GCSE results an I was literally freaking out this morning. When she handed me the envelope I seriously thought I was going to throw up on her.
I actually did a lot better than I thought I would- 2 A*s, 6 As and 3 Bs :D
I was disappointed that I got a B in Art but yeah, I can't change that now...
Anyways here is what I wore today.

I really like these three colours together although it is a fairly boring outfit... I couldn't really be bothered to make a massive effort because all I've done for the rest of the day is dance around the house in my underwear to Brooke Candy :p

One Skirt, Three Outfits: Dress for Less

I start college in 8 days. 8 days! That's crazy, I can't believe summer is basically over. I think I've forgotten how to hold a pen let alone write whole essays or speak in French.
But for now let's out that aside and think about clothes :)
This is going to be the first time that I don't have a uniform so I'm guessing its going to be difficult to make up an outfit everyday. What I've tried to do is by simple pieces that can be used for several different outfits throughout the year. This blue skirt that I bought from New Look for £6 is the focus of this post.

I've created three different looks around this skirt to show how it can be worn in different ways for different seasons.

1. Winter Breeze

Here I've put on loads of layers to make a winter outfit. This can also be worn in autumn by wrapping the coat around your waist or just leaving it our completely.
Jumper- Primark (I bought it last year).

Jacket- Boot Sale- £10 (I've seen it in brick lane for about £35)
Trainers- Converse- Gift

2. Simple and Smart

I think this is my favourite of all my outfits. It's quite simple but then I made more fun by wearing lip printed tights.
Jumper- £2.50- Charity shop
Tights- £3.00- Primark
Boots- £30- New Look
Leather jacket- borrowed from my younger brother

3. Shine in Summer

In this outfit I paired the skirt with a neon pink crop top and lilac jelly sandals for a summery look.
Waistcoat- Gift
Crop top- £4- New Look
Jelly Sandals- £20- JuJu

The great thing about this skirt is that it's really simple so can be worn with literally anything and is such a wardrobe staple.

Diy Fashion Folders for School

I buy about 2 or 3 fashion magazines every month (no wonder I don't have enough money for clothes!) and my favourite thing to do after reading them is to cut out the pictures I like and then use them for inspiration for my outfits or designs. I now have a huge bag full of runway pictures, editorials and really random things like butterflies so I thought I'd find a use for them and here it is.

1. Choose your pictures and cut them out. These can be from books, the Internet, photos that you've taken, anywhere that you find inspiration.

2. Next start to stick your images onto the folders. I glued the larger pictures down first then filled the gaps with the smaller ones. Is your choice whether you want completely cover the background colour but I chose to let some of it show through.

3. I'm not actually sure what this thing is called but its used to cover books so they don't get ruined. You can find it at places such as WHSmith and most other stationary shops. Lie your folder onto the side with paper and cut around the folder. Peel off the paper and carefully stick onto the folder, over the pictures.

4. I chose to do my folders to a theme. I have:
A Cara Delevigne folder:

An Edie Campbell folder:

And a Chloe Grace Moretz folder:

I'm not even sure if I need these folders since I'm only doing English, French and art so they could just give us books but oh well. This was really fun to do so if you try it please send them to me (tiana.jeanette.esparon@gmail.com) and I may post it on my blog.

A guide to Missguided must haves

Missguided is every girls online dream, stylish unique clothes at affordable prices (and you don't have to leave the fcomfort of your home to shop there!)
I'm always scrolling through the 'New In' section looki for my next buy and these are the ones that really caught my eye.

Kimono's are a big trend this season and its not hard to see why. They're very versatile, easy to wear in any weather and way better than a normal cardigan. I love this paisley print kimono and it's only £19.99
This bralet may seem completely slutty and my mum would never let me wear it but I think with an oversized blazer and a pair of simple cigarette trousers, it could actually look quite sophisticated. (£9.99)

I'm not really into the whole trend of wearing trainers in every day outfits... I just think they should be kept for exercise. But these heeled canvas trainers are gorgeous. They look comfortable and fashionable (unlike a pair of velcro Nike's). I have no money so the price is a little out of my range but totally reasonable at £32.99.
I literally just realised that this is the only item with some actual colour in it. Now this may come as a shocker to any fashion crazed people, but I don't own any jumpsuits... I do like them I've just never actually bought one. I really love the daisy chain in the middle and its only £24.99.
I've actually fallen in love with this skirt. I've been looking for a leather skirt for the past few weeks and this asymetric snake detail one is perfect. If I wasn't broke I'd buy it right now for £19.99

What do you guys think of my Missguided choices?

Inside my biro world

Over the Summer I've been trying to draw something every day. I've mainly been focusing in portraits since that is my favourite thing to draw but I've got bored off doing straight on poses; I looked through Love magazine and found so many different pictures to draw so I thought I'd share some of them with you. They're only 10 minute sketch so don't judge me for them not being extremely accurate :p

Spiked At Heart

There are so many independent fashion lines out there but my favourite by far is Spiked Apparel.found by Jamie Ryan Dee just a few months ago, Spiked has created a huge following including celebrity fans such as Ellie Goulding and Jamie Curry (yes I count Jamie's World as a celebrity :p).
Next week, from the 20th-25th, Spiked is having a pop up store in Shoreditch and apparently there are going to be some special guests!
There are also going to be some exclusive items which will only be available at the pop up store- I am so excited!

Lady in Blue

Today's outfit is quite... Interesting. I decided t be quite experimental and go for a layered look.

I'm not sure what I think about the jumper on top as well but I like to experiment whether it turns yet good or not. I do really love the combination of the skirt and the dress and the mix of the different prints.
I got my inspiration from Tavi Gevinson and the way she layers her outfits. I have no idea how she managed to just throw all those items of clothing together and make it look so good.
In love with this skirt.. And her burgundy top is actually a pair of leggings.
Oh and I did a photo shoot today with my friend based on the Chanel Fall show so pictures will be up tomorrow ( I'm not the best model but the pictures are pretty good :p)
