Red Carpet looks of 2013

There have been many amazing red carpet looks this year and I'm sure I missed a few out but here are my favourite red carpet moments from 2013.
Lady Gaga always knows how to make an entrance and I think her at the AMAs is probably my favourite red carpet moment of 2013. She looked absolutely stunning but still kept her regular theatrics by riding in on a white puppet horse. The fit of this Versace dress was a little odd but the colour was gorgeous and Gaga being Gaga just made it work.

I love this dress by Prabal Gurung that Diane Kruger wore to the Metropolitan Opera. Black, red and white can be very hard colours to wear together often looking harsh but Kruger made this dress look so elegant.
Rihanna at the Grammy Awards is a red carpet moment that I don't think I'll forget for a very long time. She literally looked like a princess in this Azzedine Alaïa gown. She looked glamourous, sexy, sophisticated; everything a woman should look on the red carpet. I love Rihanna's edgy look up but she should have her hair and make up like this everyday. It's gorgeous!
In my opinion, Kerry Washington has been one of the best dressed celebrities this year. She always look like perfection- from head to toe. I love the Louis Vuitton SS13 show but I did question how some of the dresses would be worn in a real life and I definitely think Kerry Washington wore the dress how Marc Jacobs would've intended it. Her hair, her shoes, her accessories; everything just works so amazingly together.

Miley Cyrus has caused a lot of controversy this year but whatever your opinion o. Other you have to admit she knows how to dress well. I love this sleek, seductive white Azzaro dress but how she stayed true to her style with the spikyish hair and natural makeup. I love how Miley can change her look from a wild girl just coming out of teenage hood to a demure woman.

Michele Obama look dazzling in this Marchesa ball gown. This colour on her skin tone is so beautiful and I love the princess shape of the dress. I think without the sleeves it would've been to girlish and a little prommy but the way sleeves fall delicately on her arm really just makes this outfit even more stunning
Cara Delevigne. What do I even say about her? This year she has taken over the modelling world with her countless campaigns, magazine covers and runway shows. When she turned up at the Met Gala in this studded Burberry column dress I think my heart stopped beating for a few minutes. To be honest, Cara would look amazing in a bin bag but I love how she embraced the punk theme and still look so elegant.
Absolutely adore the way Solange Knowles dresses. She takes risks and is someone who always surprises you on the red carpet. This Stéphane Rolland couture dress that she wore to the Cannes Film Festival literally made her look like a goddess. The way the wind blew the sheer fabric around her created such a magical moment.
Jennifer Lawrence looked absolutely radiant at the Annual Academy Awards in this stunning couture gown from Dior. Although the voluminous gown did cause her to fall whilst she collected her ward for Best Actress, I don't think Jennifer Lawrence has ever looked so beautiful. I think I'm actually in love with dress. I mean just imagine wearing it!

I hope you enjoyed my list of the best red carpet looks this year and if there are any that you think I missed out why don't you comment them below :)

Office mary jane shoes
$98 - office.co.uk

Nike Air Max Thea
$130 - office.co.uk

JuJu Sammy
$16 - office.co.uk

I am in desparate need of a new pair shoes so here is my wish list of some shoes that I really NEED from Office (hint hint for anyone who wants to buy me a Christmas present ;))
I don't know how it happened but all the shoes have a fairly similar colour scheme, I guess because I want a pair of shoes that I can wear with multiple outfit and those both of those brogues are just perfect. I've also been looking for a pair of trainers. When I told my mum she actually laughed in my face because trainers are just so not me but those Nike Air Max's are pretty hot. I will always love Mary Jane heels and the silver pair are just so cute and dainty but they won't kill my feet if I wear them all night.
What's on your Christmas list?

Ootd 12/12

Today I wore one of the jumpers that I bought at the vintage £1 sale, an old skirt of my mums and my red converses. I really want to start having fun with what I wear again; I'm always rushing in the mornings so rarely have time to even think about what Ike wearing...

Tumbl Wid Chiddy!

Chidera, or Chiddy is a previous student from my school, the Brit school and currently studies fashion design at London College of Fashion. I've never met her before but from what I've been told about Chiddy, her twitter page and her artwork she's genuinely such a talented, unique individual. I can't wait for her to start selling some prints of her artwork; I'd buy them all in a second!
Chiddy's artwork is mesmerizing. I love her choices of colours and how they are kind of abstract but still so real. I don't know her, but I'd describe Chiddy as intellectual, funny and open. She answers questions like 'What do you want to be when you're older?' with 'a recognized creative' and others with completely random unrelated answers. If one day I'm half the artist she is, I will be an incredibly happy person.

Oh and her hair is utterly fabulous!

I think this is my favourite piece of art that Chiddy has done.

East End Thrift Store Sale

Today I went to one of the most amazing sales you could ever dream of. East End Thrift Store is a vintage in East London and every few months they hold a £1 sale. That's right, you read correctly. A £1 sale. Jumpers, jeans, coats, skirts, dresses everything costs a £1. Some people definitely took this as an opportunity to restock their whole wardrobes. I literally saw people with suitcases, massive black bags, one girl was dragging two ikea bags full of clothes down the road!
Before I went, I was quite worried. Would the clothes be a decent quality? Was someone going to have a bitch fight over a dress they claimed to see first? And how long was I going to have to queue outside in the cold?
Luckily all of my questions had positive outcomes. There were a few stains and rips but overall the condition of them was pretty incredible for £1. I arrived about 30minutes after it started and I only had to wait outside for an hour or so. And thank goodness there were no crazy people looking to fight over clothes!
Although I didn't buy much I'm quite happy with what I did purchase. I walked in hoping to buy some jumpers and hopefully a few trousers or jeans. I didn't find any bottoms that I liked and were actually in my size but I'm really happy about the sweaters that I bought. They're also cute and after a wash (or two) they'll be ready to wear.
Whether you're a dedicated thrifter or you're just looking for a few bargains, I'd definitely recommend you to watch out for East End Thrift Shop's next sale.

Inspiration

Here are few images that I've collected in the past few days and I just thought I'd share some of them with you. I love the first picture of Milla Jovovich at just 13 years old. I means seriously, how is it even possible for a pre-pubescent girl to be so beautiful. Also I'm really loving this minimalist but super cool look that I've seen a lot of people doing. I wear too many patterns and colours to ever be able to pull it off but I adore the style.

Ootd 2/12

Today I went to my first life drawing class and it's was quite interesting. I've been looking forward to doing it for quite a while and I loved it.
Yesterday a bought this amazing pleated mini skirt for £3 at a charity shop and I'm almost certain I'm going to be wearing it everyday this week.
I love bargains like this skirt and on Saturday I'm going to £1 vintage clothing sale which I am ecstatic for! I know it's going to be absolutely crazy but I cannot wait to find some incredible bargains.
Lots of love,
