The Spice Girls: My guilty pleasure

Scary, Baby, Posh, Ginger and Sporty. They will forever be the definition of ultimate girl power.
I remember dancing around my room when I was about five to 'Wannabe' wishing I could be Posh spice. Although I do love them all for their individuality, I definitely wanted to be her. She was so sassy! Even though most of the clothes that they wore were quite horrendous, they wore them in the most fashionable way possible. I will forever bow down to them for popularizing platform shoes.
Sporty (pronounced CHAV) spice represented that bad girl street style and although I don't recommend wearing a complete adidas ensemble, you can easily achieve her vibe with a pair of cool trainers, some joggers or a hoodie.
This is probably the most iconic moment in pop history. When Ginger Spice wore perhaps the shortest dress ever made while performing at the 1998 Brit Awards the whole world's jaws dropped. The catch, her sister made it from a tea towel they'd bought in a charity shop! Arguably the bravest of all the spice girls, Geri Halliwell didn't know the meaning of too much cleavage or too short a hemline.
Baby Spice was the sweetie pie of the group. She nearly always wore a cutesy babydoll dress in a girly pastel colour. Her style was like a naughty but really sexy little girl. And you could never have a Emma Bunton styled outfit without putting your hair in her signature pigtails, she did this look way before Britney BTW.
Leopard print, metallic, crazy and massive platforms. If you keep those four things in your style vocabulary you are sure to have an awesome Scary spice outfit. The best thing about Scary, was she literally did not give a fuck. She always wore the wildest outfit and definitely had the attitude to pull them off.
My personal favourite of the spice girls, Posh Spice. The basic of a Victoria Beckham look, is a tight black dress and platform heels. But there is so much more to it than that. You need sass and attitude, a killer pose and you absolutely must practise the perfect pouting face if you ever want to come close to achieving a Posh Spice look.

I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna...  go back to the 90s...

Who's your favourite spice girl?
Lot's of love,
Tiana x
