17 Again (finally)

I'm finally 17, yay! I sort of had a crisis this morning and had no idea what to wear so I wore my prom dress because it makes me happy and it's really pretty :p
Sorry for the shit mirror picture ahaha
My friends and I basically just ordered a load of pizza, played some games and just chilled for a couple hours. I had an awesome day and thank you loads to everyone who was a part of it :)

ZARA SALE

Not including designer brands, if I could only wear clothes from one shop for the entirety of my life, I would have to choose Zara. Their clothes are perfectly classic but always have a really cool twist. At the moment they have a sale on which is perfect cause it's my birthday next week which means money money money!

So if you're looking for some awesome summer bargains, I'd definitely check out Zara!

How to Dress Well on a Small Budget

1. Have lots of basic clothing pieces which are easy to mix and match with almost anything and are suitable for all seasons e.g neutral (black, white, grey) coloured tshirts, lots of jeans and trainers. To make this plain clothes a little more interesting pair them with bold prints and statement pieces of clothing.

2. Charity shops are the best place to find cheap clothes and if you look hard enough you will always find some amazing buys. Although I've never found anything designer (cry) my friend bought a Calvin Klein coat for £20! Vintage shops are also amazing but can often be expensive; if you live in London Google East End Thrift Store. There you can buy clothes for £1 each or fill a bag for £10 or £20 depending on the size. Although the clothes do smell a bit after a few washes they're good as new ;p

3. If you're not into wearing previously owned clothes, then another way to save money to know when the sales are on. Online shops such as Asos will nearly always have sale section where you can buy your favourite brand's clothes for less. If you happen to live in a city there are nearly always sample sales going on. To find them I usually search them on twitter or Instagram.

4. Diy is the most fun way to give your old clothes a makeover. There are tons of tutorials on YouTube or diy blogs such as P.S I Made It. Customizing your own clothes is a brilliant way to turn something you hate into your new favourite piece of clothing.

5. I've never actually won a giveaway competition but I always enter because I might get lucky one day. Loads of blogs host giveaways on a regular basis but so do lots of clothing brands so follow your favourite shops on their social media sites to keep up to date with any competitions they may hold.

6. One of the easiest ways to make a fairly dull outfit more interesting is to accessorize. When buying jewellery I like to invest in lots of statement necklaces, earrings and rings as it is a simple way to boost an outfit.

Hopefully this helped some of you :)

Central Saint Martins Degree Show

Every time I visit CSM I become more and more desparate for it to be my university. The show included Fashion, Textiles, Animation, Graphic Design and loads more.
Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take pictures of all the clothes but here are some of my favourites that I could take a photo of.

Also my wonderful friend bought me a pair of Topshop Birkenstocks as an early birthday present. YAY! He gave them to me on Wednesday and I have literally worn them every day. They're so comfy and easy to wear with basically anything. Here's what I wore.

Totally and Utterly Clueless

Follow my blog with BloglovinFor my 17th birthday I'm hosting my very first house party (yayayayay) and my friend had the brilliant idea of making it a fancy dress party.
Clueless is one of my favourite movies and the clothes that they wear are AMAZING so obviously I'm going as Dionne!

I love how these two girls interpreted the classic Cher and Dionnr outfits, she even has a hat like Dionne's. I've looked everywhere and unfortunately I can't find black tartan blazer so I'll probably wear a black cardigan or blazer with a black tartan skirt, a red top and high knee socks. I doubt even half of the guests will know who I am but oh well I'm gonna look fabulous :p

London Collections: Menswear

Hentsch Man has definitely figured out he best way to model:smoking cigars and drinking rum flavoured beer (which they were giving out for free and tasted delicious!)

Although it took a while for me to stop staring at the models and actually look at the clothes, I really love this collection and if I was a guy I'd wear every single piece. I loves he fun bright colours and tropical prints, perfect for summer!

Another show that I saw today was Astrid Anderson. Inspired by a trip to Japan, the collection was bold, confident and bright. Traditional Japanese clothing shapes were adopted throughout, particularly from sumo wrestlers clothing and contrasting oranges, pinks and blue created an aesthetically stunning collection.

Must Have This Month: Birkenstocks

Birkenstocks are my new obsession, I love them! I used to think they were the ugliest shoes in the world but now I can't get enough. They're the perfect mix of casual but really quirky and kind of cool.

These double soled Birkenstocks are just incredible!

The amazing Kate Moss wearing her Birkenstocks withal punchy trousers and a crop top.

Topshop has the best selection of Birkenstocks and at pretty decent prices as well ranging from £26 to  £65.

My birthday is soon so hint hint if anyone wants to get me a present :p
