Think Pink!

If didn't already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a time for people to learn more about breast cancer and to raise money supporting the charity. My school had a wear it pink day where people were asked to wear pink clothes to school; some people even took it one step further and dyed their hair pink!
Even though it's coming to the end of October now (omfg we only have two months left of this year), pink is a major trend this winter. Even if you're not a girly girl, I definitely think wearing pink is a brilliant way to add some fresh colours into what can be a very dull, dark winter wardrobe.
I'm in love with this pink asos coat, it reminds me of the oversized Jil Sander coat. I also really want the pink plaid mini skirt- I've already made up outfits in my head  and oh my the options are infinite.

Style icon : Rooney Mara

I absolutely loveeee the way Rooney Mara dresses, I always look to what she's going to wear on the red carpet. I like how she has her own style which is edgy and fearless but really glamourous at the same time. I know some people say Rooney Mara can be kind of boring because she usually sticks to a black and white palette, and I guess she could through in some colour once in a while but who cares she always looks faultless.
I am obsessed with this Proenza Schouler dress. The hard leather and the cream and the pleats and I love the metallic silver..
Perfection!

Anyone who can rock a bright green dress is a Queen in my eyes.

Lots of love,

I know it's been nearly two months but...

I just still can't get over the shoes in the Alexander Wang SS14 show at New York Fashion Week.
I mean seriously just look at how gorgeous they are.

Have you ever seen a more perfect shoe...

5 must have items for Fall

Sorry but I haven't been feeling particularly inspired at the moment I'm not really sure why but I'll get it back :)
Here are 5 items that I think are wardrobe must-haves his winter.

1. OVERSIZED COATS were all over the the runways this season from Stella McCartney to Max Mara to Louis Vuitton. They're perfect because they keep you extremely warm and although they completely swallow your figure, oversized items make you look smaller than you actually are.
For a cheaper buy check out Topshop's Boyfriend coat which comes in a range of colours, or if you're really cheap like me just pop into a charity shop and I can almost guarantee that you'll find one.

2. Apart from tartan, HOUNDSTOOTH is probably my favourite material. It can be really girly like in the Christian Dior show or made super masculine and funky like Comme Des Garçons.
The best place to find literally any item in houndstooth is definitely Forever21. Just search 'houndstooth' on their website and you could have an entire wardrobe just in that fabric.
At the moment I've got my eye on these gorgeous shorts but it's winter :(

3. Whatever mood you're in a FULL SKIRT can always make you feel like a princess. I fell in love with this skirt from Rochas; it's so elegant.
Of course this super girly skirt isn't for everyone but for those who are interested, you can get a more affordable skirt at Primark.
Although it lacks in volume, this black faux leather fabric makes a very ladylike skirt look edgy NAND daring plus it's more practical. Can you imagine trying to sit down in the Rochas skirt!

4. A good BIKER BOOT is one item that is essential for basically any time of the year. Prada paired them with provocative womanly clothes but biker boots can go with anything.
I bought my boots from New Look for only £30 and they are so comfortable and I definitely recommend you buying them.

5. Obviously I couldn't forget the good old JUMPER. And where else to find amazing jumpers without leaving the comfort of your bed but Romwe.com. Their jumpers are unique and original, you'll never find designs like the anywhere else.

Prices range from. About £25-£40.

Hope you enjoyed this list,
Lots of love Tiana x

Goodbye Mr Jacobs...

I'm sure most of you know that the recent SS14 show for Louis Vuitton, was Marc Jacobs last for the fashion house and he definitely made his send off just as flamboyant as his personality.
Although the all black collection hinted at Jacobs mourning his time at Louis Vuitton, the garments themselves were anything but morose. With programs signed 'To the show girl in us all' and elaborate feathered head pieces by Stephen Jones, the show was tauntingly resembled show girl outfits.
I love how Jacobs took inspiration from designers he admire, including Coco Chanel, but he also incorporated his most famous set designs into the show - escalators, elvators and the hotel corridors that we saw last season.
The clothes were daring and outrageous and fun and embellished with feathers, rhinestones and lace; the models are probably still finding glitter on them there was so much of it.

I loved the show. Marc Jacobs is one of the most innovative designers around and I can't wait to see what he's going to do next and which brave person will replace him at Louis Vuitton.

Charity Shop finds!

Recently I've had loads of college work so unfortunately I haven't had time do blog as often :(
However, there is one thing that I'll always have time for- thrift shopping! I went yesterday and found some awesome clothes.

I love the shape of the top, although it's not really suitable for winter but who cares it was £3. I also bought a really pretty houndstooth skirt which similarly is more suited to summer but oh well.
Since I've been spending my time doing artwork instead of blogging I might as well show you what I've been up to :)

Lots of love,
Tiana x
