Weekend Sketches

After a busy two weeks, I took this weekend just to relax at home and do some sketching and sewing. From Wednesday to Friday I did a design and make your own garment workshop at the Victoria and Albert museum. Although I'm not completely happy with the outcome I learnt a lot about draping fabric and pattern making.

I took some inspiration from the shape of this dress and made a new dress yesterday. It was just a trial as I was testing out a pattern I'd made but I really like how it's turned out. I'm going to change the pattern where it needs to be altered and make another dress probably out of navy or maybe dark grey jersey.

An interview with Lucas David

Lucas David is one of my favourite artists so when he agreed to do an interview with me I was ecstatic. With Sky Ferreira and Frances Bean Cobain among his fan group, David's popularity is growing every day and I can't wait to see his career develop!

1. Have you always been passionate about art and drawing?

- I drew since age 5 and then when i was like 14 started drawing woman, nude woman and all my demonds coming thru woman, the truth is that i dont post my nude womans on the internet , just the punk rock girls or pop sensations. but i think i've never been like passionate on my work more than  the past few days

2. What is you favourite piece of artwork that you've done?

3. Are there any artists or designers who have inspired you?

 -yeah i love apollonia saintclair work,her work is super amazing

4. Why do you do what you do?

-it's the only thing im good at/ the only public that receives me, haha 

5. What inspires you? 

 -rock and roll and 90's  music/fashion

6. What do you like about your work?

-it's all coming from my mind! i'm the fucking boss

7. Besides drawing, do you have any other hobbies?

 -yea i like making music i play with my besties sometimes and we compose music, i used to have a band but now it's just like acoustic sessions, but that's all honestly all my work comes along with music. make  music is my real passion honestly, i want to be a rock and roll star!

8. What couldn't you live without?

-my discography of hole and nirvana :(

-not happened yet

10. Where do you see you career going in the future?

-honestly  don't fucking now, just want to keep working! and hopefully working with one of my favorite artists

Inside my biro world

Over the Summer I've been trying to draw something every day. I've mainly been focusing in portraits since that is my favourite thing to draw but I've got bored off doing straight on poses; I looked through Love magazine and found so many different pictures to draw so I thought I'd share some of them with you. They're only 10 minute sketch so don't judge me for them not being extremely accurate :p
