It has been ways to long since I've made a blog post but with the start of my final year at college and London Fashion Week, I've had absolutely no free time.
Since Thursday I've been volunteering as a dresser with Fashion Scout, an organization which showcases new design talent all around the world.
Working backstage at a show is extremely different to watching a show and you would not believe the amount of prep, panic and general craziness that goes on before and during the show. Even though it's quite an intense environment, the past few days have been such an incredible experience, and I've got loads of backstage pictures of the clothes, models and everything else that's been going on.
One of the shows that I managed to see was Nasir Mazhar. The collection was a wonderful mix of national tribal dressing, fetish wear and sportswear. The Nasir Mazhar girl is rebellious, sexy and ethnic.

One of the best things about working at fashion week is that I got a ton of free make up :D
That's pretty much a summary of my past three days and as you can probably see it's been hectic. I'm exhausted, my feet hurt and I've barely had any sleep but it's also been the most amazing experience and I cannot wait till February for the next fashion week!
Today was absolutely amazing, I still can't believe that it actually all happened...
First I met up with my friend Ella who was lucky enough to get tickets to the John Rocha show :o
Then we took a few pictures of the awesome street style.

Next we went on a hunt for the J.W Anderson show and although we couldn't find it we did manage to find the venue for the Henry Holland! The show started at 7pm so around 6ish I made my way back to the venue and waited hoping that they would let me in. Finally after everyone had gone inside (including Coco Rocha!!!!) they let us in yayayayay. It was one of the best experiences that I've had so far. The venue was this massive warehouse kind of space and immediately after I walked in, I saw Kelly Osbourne interviewing Coco Rocha!
It was such a shock I thought my heart was going to explode. Kelly was so cute and Coco is absolutely stunning and so TALL. Afterwards Kelly did and interview with LILY ALLEN who had on the most beautiful pair of shoes but unfortunately I think I was too star struck to get a picture :p
The collection was definitely the best show that I've been to so far. The clothes were fun and upbeat, full of bright, dynamic colours. There were so many bold prints and the clothes were full of embellishments and sequins. I just wish I could wear them all!
I was also lucky enough to get into Lucas Nascimento show early in the day which wasn't my favourite but the clothes looked so luxurious and powerful.
I can not wait your tomorrow when I'm volunteering at the palmer//harding show!!!! I'm so excited, it's going to be a fantastic experience.
Today was an amazing start to LFW despite me getting absolutely drenched by the rain. My friend Lauren and I were lucky enough to get into the Daks show (which was incredible) and we saw some absolutely insane street style. Unfortunately we didn't get into the Eudon Choi show but even just being at Somerset House, there is such an amazing atmosphere. And we met the editor of Hunger magazine and a woman who works at Glamour amazing.
This woman's outfit was literally PAINTED onto her back! She must've been so cold.

The Eudon Choi wasn't my favourite show but I love these three looks. I think the bright blue pants are fab, definitely a more sophisticated version of regular blue jeans
The Daks show was sophisticated and elegant, full of gorgeous camel and burgundy tones. I loved the traditional British pieces throughout the collection such as trench coats and those massive fur hats that the soldiers outside Buckingham palace wear. But then they were all shown in really original ways like the trench coat dress at towards the end. I also loved the metallic pieces in the show, especially the gold cape which I like NEED in my wardrobe!
A few months ago I emailed every single brand showing at London Fashion Week asking for either press tickets or if hey need any volunteers to help out backstage and praise the heavens someone actually got back to me!
Palmer//Harding emailed me me yesterday asking me if I could volunteer to be a dresser for them and of course I said yes without hesitation.
Although I'd heard of them before, I wasn't fully aware of the brand's image and clothing so I've been doing loads of research. Palmer//Harding was founded in 2011 by Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding and design both menswear and womenswear. Both designers are MA graduates from Central Saint Martins (dream university!).
Oddly, their speciality is shirts. Palmer//Harding's aim is to make a classic wardrobe staple interesting and aesthetically beautiful again. They don't do knits, they don't do prints- they simply focus on shirts. Because of their very unique niche, Palmer//Harding were instantly noticed by press and have been featured in both British and American Vogue.
Omg how fabulous are those blue trousers!
I love the simple elegance to all of their clothes.
Seriously though the draping on this shirt is just beautiful.
